  • Condition: We understand that some of the leather to the upholstery has been replaced, and there is a slight difference in colour and grain between the leather covering the seat and armrests and that covering the front and back of the backrest and the underside. As the leather to the backrest shows greater wear and appears to be of greater age, we assume this is original and that it is the leather to seat and armrests that is the replacement.

The wear to the leather on the backrest is principally around its upper edges, with a particular concentration all around its upper left corner (as partly visible in the second catalogue photo). Additionally, there is wear all along the upper edge of the panel to the rear side of the backrest; the upper left corner of this panel has been slightly pulled away from the back, with an associated soft crease in the leather; and there is some wear to the piping to the front side of the upper right corner of the backrest (as visible in the first catalogue photo). Otherwise, the leather generally shows occasional lighter scuffs and scratches and general light use-related wear.

The metal parts show general superficial wear; the moving parts move freely with the exception of two of the hard rubber caster wheels which are heavily and unevenly worn. One off the screws fixing the seat to the metal frame does not match the others (having a slot head rather the internal hex head of the others).
